Top It Math Games
Top It
Addition Top-It
Remove the aces and picture cards from a deck of regular playing cards. Deal the remaining cards to each player (game works best with two players). Each player has his/her cards facedown in a stack. Each player then flips two cards over and adds them together. The player with the larger sum takes the other player’s cards. Continue for as long as you like or until the other player is out of cards. If there is a tie (a war), simply flip two more cards each and add again. Winner of the war takes all of the cards. We encourage you to play this often for short periods of time.

No School - AGAIN!!
All Anchorage School District schools will be CLOSED on Wednesday, November 24. This closure includes cancellation of all ASD-sponsored after-school activities.
Although most major collector roads in the municipality may be in acceptable driving condition, the condition of neighborhood and side streets pose a significant safety concern for students walking to school and waiting at bus stops. Hazardous roads and walking trails are also being reported in many areas across the municipality.
For more information on school closures, please visit http://www.asdk12.org/aboutasd/closureinfo.asp.

NO SCHOOL
All ASD schools CLOSED Tuesday, Nov. 23 due to icy road conditions
November 22, 2010
All Anchorage School District schools will be CLOSED on Tuesday, November 23, due to icy road conditions. ASD administrative facilities, including the Education Center, will be open. Employees are encouraged to report to work only as road conditions allow them to safely do so.
Superintendent Carol Comeau and ASD staff have been consulting with municipal street maintenance personnel and checking weather reports. Although major roads may be in acceptable driving condition tomorrow, there is great concern about the condition of side streets and the safety of students walking and waiting at bus stops.
Unless otherwise announced, ASD schools will reopen on Wednesday, November 24. “We will continue to review road and walking conditions and will make a decision about Wednesday's classes at a later time,” said Superintendent Comeau.
