Interviews

Kindergarten teachers will be conducting interviews beginning Wednesday, August 18th to Friday, August 20th.  Please arrive on time because interviews can be booked within 5 minutes of each other.  Interviews will be about 15 minutes.  It would be best to keep siblings at home.  If you need to bring them, please fill out paperwork in the hall with your other child.  This helps keep the distractions down so your child may concentrate at the task at hand.  :-)  Please remind you child that this interview is to get to know one another and see the classroom.  It is not the time to play with toys in the classroom.

You may also bring any school supplies to the interview.  I can also collect the $20 supply fee (check or cash only) and write you a receipt.

What does this interview consist of?

Not only will this interview give us the opportunity to go over any paperwork or questions you have, it will also allow me to get to know your child and see what your child is able to do.

Your child may be asked whether he or she can:

• read and write their name
• say their first and last name
• say their parents first names
• say their phone number
• say their address
• identify colors
• identify upper and lower case letters?  If so, do they already know their sounds?
• numbers 0-10
• identify environmental print
• zip or button
• draw me a picture and tell me about it
